One Yoga of the People, Vancouver

Awakening Shakti: Meditation, Kundalini and the Energy of the Heart

with Sally Kempton & Suzanne Slocum-Gori

This closely guided, immersive workshop will help you open the inner world of Shakti-inspired meditation.  Based on the tantric teachings of the Shaiva tradition, and powered by Sally’s uniquely experiential understanding of kundalini, this weekend class is designed to give you a practice experience of your inner sacred energy. We’ll open the centers of the body with mantra and visualization, learn how to enlist the help of deity energy, work with practices for dissolving our obstacles and emotional blocks, dispel myths and offer gems from the tantric wisdom on Shakti and the wisdom of the body.

The practices include mantra, visualization, inquiry, devotional inner dialogue, yoga asana & pranayama with Suzanne, partner work, and the opportunity to experience Sally Kempton’s meditative transmission.
